Daydream Introduces Cobu Community App to Nurture Virtual Connections

Next-generation app to be deployed nationally to Daydream’s upscale apartment buildings

Daydream Apartments has launched a new community engagement app to bring residents together safely during COVID. So far the new community app is operational in residences in Austin, Denver, Los Angeles and Seattle. Daydream has customized its “Community App powered by Cobu” to bring greater connection through creative and authentic experiences to their residents, while also supporting local businesses and charities.

“COVID has been an isolating and lonely experience for many, and Daydream’s unique philosophy is to combine incredible resident experiences, a hospitality mindset and a commitment to unexpected offerings and services that can foster real connection at a time when we need it most,” said Jon Slavet, CEO of Daydream Apartments. “There is a tremendous energy and enthusiasm among Daydream residents for ways to come together and connect, and Cobu is the ideal community platform for us.”

Daydream plans to roll out Cobu nationally across their multi-state portfolio of upscale apartment buildings. The app offers residents the ability to connect in a more meaningful way with their neighbors, local businesses and building staff. Residents can easily join interest groups, create and attend engaging virtual and in-person social gatherings, organize volunteer efforts, buy and sell goods in a convenient marketplace, as well as support businesses in their area through a curated list of local services and offers.

“Union Denver by Daydream hit registration benchmarks faster than anything we’ve seen across our nation-wide market, and it’s a testament to the Daydream community and their culture that encourages residents to find new ways to explore their community neighborhoods,” said Ben Pleat, CEO and co-founder of Cobu. “Cobu’s mission is to empower everyone to feel like they belong in the places they call home. We help do that by making it easy for residents to engage with their neighbors and neighborhood, turning apartments into homes.”

The Community App is the latest in a series of innovations in the multifamily housing sector that Daydream Apartments has introduced. Within the last three months, Daydream has organized dozens of specialty events and programs to help residents cope with quarantine. Some of the more popular programs included a multi-city virtual cocktail class focused on crisis communication and community and more light hearted events like creating your own juice or pizza night to support the local struggling food and beverage industry.
