    Chief Executive Officer

    Jon Slavet and his Daydream team are on a mission to create a new living and travel category — featuring apartment communities that flex to any length of stay, in sleek urban environments, with hospitality-grade service, luxurious common spaces, and unique community building experiences. Jon has a passion for the intersection of real estate, hospitality and technology. Previously as CWeO for the West at WeWork, he and his team built and led a scale business spanning 20 cities, thousands of employees, and tens of thousands of members. Jon earlier served as COO at Rodan + Fields, the leading direct-to-consumer wellness company, and led e-commerce at Electronic Arts. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Jon advises multiple start-ups and nonprofit organizations. He lives in the Bay Area with his three amazing kids.

  • Tom Klaess

    Tom Klaess

    SVP Operations

    With over 30 years of experience, Tom blends deep expertise in hospitality and multifamily housing to deliver a high standard for experiences and service across Daydream’s growing national portfolio. Prior to joining Daydream, Tom was the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Stay Alfred. Earlier, he served in senior roles at Highmark Residential (Starwood Capital), Pinnacle and Laramar Communities, where he served as Chief Operating Officer, and Archstone Communities, where he was part a senior leadership team that achieved a four-fold increase in the number of units under management. Tom received a B.A. in Business Administration from Westminster College.

  • Julie Butler

    Julie Butler

    VP Operations & Hospitality

    As Daydream’s Vice President of Property Operations, Julie oversees a national operations team that currently spans seven properties across four states. Julie draws on more than 14 years of award-winning experience in multifamily operations in her role, and utilizes this expertise on everything from anticipating resident needs to protecting residents and staff from the transmission of COVID. Most recently, she was a Regional Vice President at US Residential, and was recognized as Regional Vice President of the Year. A graduate of Newman University, Julie actively mentors women looking to start in the industry and to advance to executive-level positions.

  • Jason Cole

    Jason Cole

    VP Technology & Engineering

    Jason manages the technology platforms that power Daydream’s best-in-class portals and applications for residents and guests across Daydream’s growing national portfolio. Guided by the “Give First” mantra, Jason is a passionate advocate for using technology to build connections and community. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Jason also serves as the CTO mentor at Boomtown Accelerator and has advised multiple early-stage entrepreneurs and mid-sized companies.

    Maggie Lang

    VP Marketing & Experience

    Maggie brings more than 25 years of senior leadership expertise in the hospitality, travel and consumer sectors to Daydream. As Vice President of Marketing and Experience, she oversees Daydream’s marketing, branding, the signature Explorer Program and much more. An innovator in the hospitality sector, Maggie builds communities and connections with authenticity, empathy and the little touches that surprise and delight everyone who walks into a Daydream property. Maggie most recently served as Senior Vice President at Lyric, and before that as the Head of Guest Experience and Loyalty at Kimpton Hotels. A citizen of the world and a storyteller at heart, Maggie studied at Johnson & Wales University and IMH Business School. Maggie remains a vocal advocate of female leadership and mentoring, and is committed to providing a space where all are welcome to thrive.

  • Matt Bernstein

    Matt Bernstein

    VP Asset Management

    Matt Bernstein has joined Daydream as Vice President of Asset Management. In this capacity, Matt leverages over 17 years of experience in institutional multifamily asset management, development and strategy consulting to maximize the revenue potential for Daydream’s national portfolio. Prior to joining Daydream, Matt was Vice President of Asset Management at GID Investment Advisers, where he was responsible for overseeing more than 7,000 units and over $4B in multifamily real estate. Matt began his real estate career at Grubb and Ellis and Essex Property Trust, and earlier worked at various global consulting firms. Matt received a B.S. in Business Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill and his MBA with Real Estate Certificate from the Haas School of Business at UC-Berkeley.

  • Charlie Kirschner

    Charlie Kirschner

    VP Product Strategy

    Charlie Kirschner is Daydream’s Vice President of Product & Business Operations. In this role he is responsible for implementing growth strategies, overseeing strategic company programs and leading annual planning. Charlie works closely with Daydream’s senior leadership and serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO. Prior to this role, he held several senior management roles at Rodan + Fields, empowering a global community of more than 300,000 independent consultants. Charlie is passionate about entrepreneurship and supporting nonprofit causes. Charlie received his B.A. with High Honors in International Relations from Emory University, and lives in Marin County with his wife and two children.

  • Bill Licko

    Bill Licko

    VP Accounting & Finance

    Bill Licko brings nearly 25 years of experience in leading strategic and operational finance, with deep expertise in multifamily, commercial, retail and mixed use real estate. As Vice President of Accounting and Finance, Bill oversees accounting, financial planning and analysis, risk management, investor relations, all audit and tax functions and business support. Prior to joining Daydream, Bill spent more than 13 years at a Fortune 500 publicly traded REIT, and before that Bill was with Capmark Corp. He began his career in public accounting working for Deloitte & Touche LLP. Bill holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder.

    Shandra Turner

    Regional General Manager

    Shandra Turner is Daydream’s Regional General Manager for Daydream’s properties in Los Angeles, Austin and Seattle. In this role, Shandra builds high-performing teams and is responsible for promoting operational excellence, attention to detail and a commitment to superior hospitality. From her entry-level beginnings to overseeing thousands of residential units across three states, Shandra brings more than 20 years of experience in the housing and hospitality sector. Prior to joining Daydream, she was a Multisite Property Manager at Greystar and a Regional Director of Operations at Sherman & Associates overseeing their luxury portfolio. Shandra is one of the founding members of Daydream’s “Every Day we DREAM” community that explores privilege and bias, and is a frequent mentor and recruiter within the housing industry. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

    Louise Parsons-Davey

    VP Revenue and Distribution

    Louise Parsons-Davey designs and directs Daydream’s revenue optimization and distribution strategies. Louise leverages more than 20 years of progressive experience in revenue management, with more than a dozen years in luxury and lifestyle hotels to shape a collaborative vision for Daydream’s growing national portfolio. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Revenue and Distribution at Highgate. A UK native, Louise studied at Southbank University, and is passionate about mentoring new generations of revenue leaders.

  • Katie Osse

    Katie Osse

    Director of People

    As the Director of People, Katie Osse leads the team responsible for building a Daydream culture that encompasses hospitality, service to community and diversity. In her current role, Katie is responsible for leading Daydream’s overall human resources strategy, talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, organizational design and cultural development, employee education and development, compensation and benefits. Katie brings a wealth of human resource management expertise to Daydream, after having spent more than 20 years at KtO! Solutions, Destination Hotels/Two Roads Hospitality, Sage Hospitality and Marriott International. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder.

  • Michael Williams, NCARB

    Michael Williams, NCARB

    Vice President of Development

    Michael Williams is the Vice President of Development at Daydream Apartments. A builder of physical spaces and brands, Michael is responsible for leading Daydream’s innovative design, construction and sourcing. A licensed architect certified by NCARB and the California Architects Board, Michael leverages more than 25 years of design and development experience, and he most recently served as WeWork’s Head of Development, US West. Previously he held similar positions at Peet’s Coffee, Levi Strauss & Co. and Restoration hardware, among others. Michael is LEED AP-certified, and he received his architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University.
